Q. How do I register as an AIDA member?
A. Please use the online registration form.

Q. How do I access the Intranet?
A. The AIDA Intranet is a Sharepoint Collaborative Workspace with the following url: https://espace.cern.ch/aida-intranet/. It is open to all AIDA members and requires a log in and password. Intranet access requires two things:

Note: accessing from outside the CERN network requires “CERN\username” or your email address in the username field

Q. How do I get a CERN external account?
A. If you do not already have a CERN NICE account or external account, then you need to set up a CERN external account to access the Intranet. Visit the CERN external accounts page. Once you have completed the online registration form, you will receive an email to validate your account and set a password. The whole process should take just a few minutes. You can then use your email address and the password that you have created to access the Intranet (providing you have registered as an AIDA member).

Q. Why can’t I log into the Intranet?
A. Log in problems may be due to the following reasons:

Q. How do I find AIDA meetings?
A. All meetings are on the AIDA Indico pages

Q. What acknowledgement text do I need to write for AIDA-related publications?
A. In line with the AIDA Consortium Agreement, publications shall include the following acknowledgement "the research leading to these results has received funding from the European Commission under the FP7 Research Infrastructures project AIDA, grant agreement no. 262025”.

Any publicity, including at a conference or seminar or any type of information or promotional material (brochure, leaflet, poster, presentation etc), shall contain the following disclaimer “The information herein only reflects the views of its authors and not those of the European Commission and no warranty expressed or implied is made with regard to such information or its use”.

Q. What if my AIDA journal publication is copyrighted by the publisher?
A. All AIDA publications are to be stored in the CDS publication database. If your publication is copyrighted, the advice from the CERN library service is to upload an as-final-as-possible pre-print version with peer-review corrections taken in, as it is only the publisher-formatted version that is copyrighted.

Q. Where can I find the AIDA logo?
A. This is available on the Intranet logo page in various forms.

Q. What project templates are available?
A. There is an optional Powerpoint template for presentations, and templates will also be available for deliverables and reporting. All templates will be available on the Intranet template page.

Q. How do I advertise AIDA-related job vacancies?
A. Contact the AIDA editor with details, which can then be added to the jobs page.
